Life is what happens when you are making other plans, or in this case, praying and being all devout and stuff. I will not change your mind, and you will not change mine, so I just say unto youse (I'm from Jersey): "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's, The IRS what is the IRS's, and God what you believe is God's, but don't forget to keep something for yourself. Whose life is it anyway?
From where I sit, if there is a boss, that boss is not being a boss, or else that boss is insane. The picture makes more sense with no one at the alleged helm then with a Thing so capricious that, we (allegedly) aren't smart enough to understand the sense of things that just don't make f***ing sense! On the other hand, if it makes you happy, have fun!
