The attitudes expressed on these web sites are not Christian by any means. They are contrary to the teachings of Christ. Sort of like saying "I am exclusively a Pepsi drinker!" when there's a bottle of Coke in your hands.
We've been having a debate in the office about whether this article is a wind up or not...can you let us know please?

Rarely have I read such mindless, monumentously stupid and paranoid drivel. The World Cup is exactly that you berk, it's a cup that all the World's countries play for, unlike the ridiculous 'world series' you play for in one of America's insular sports that hardly anybody else plays. I've just seen the result. The tiny Czech Republic whooped your country's ass 3-0. Perhaps Mr Bush's good luck speech "Give them hell" didn't work. They couldn't give them hell. Perhaps your silly brand of politics and xenophobic ideas are the reason the US never wins at football. (It's called football because it's played with feet, by the way). I sincerely hope your niece turns into a liberal, maybe she'll earn herself some respect and some friends in the World, unlike yourself who perhaps still wonders if the rumours about a World outside your borders are true. And did you know, other people worship different Gods!?!? I'd better stop there, this might be freaking you out a little.
I am a Brazilian and a Christian. What have you got against us? May I correct you - Our leader is a SOCIALIST, not COMMUNIST. And our leader doesn't cause terror and death and destruction all over the planet. Is that God's will? Is that what you support? So you didn't answer my question - What have you got against Brasilians? Do you know where Brasil is? Can you point to it on a World map? Do you have a passport? Have you ever been outside your national borders? Can you point to the US on a World map?
1. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to offend Brasil. They must be sad every day there that they aren't part of the USA. They must wish that they were like the lucky people in Iraq, for instance, who are fortunate to live under the protection of our flag now.

Why would we Brasilians want to live under US rule/under the shitty stars and stripes? We have a beautiful country where we relish life rather than see it as a dialy struggle, our healthcare and education is FREE and excellent, unlike you poor sick Amercians who pay a fortune to learn about your toss country, where Americans have to pay a ransom for healthcare provision to ease diabetes and cardiac arrest because your nations advertising 'gurus' continually sell you crap food loaded with steroids and fat, salt and other carcinogens.

I'm a europpean who had once the misfortune to end up in Kansas, the Middle of the Bible belt 16 years ago as an exchange student. Those were the days I still loved America. What's wrong with my spelling? Please point it out. I find that kind of comment quite ironic (see, we Americans do understand irony!) too, coming from a Brazilian man like you, who doesn't even speak American as a first language.

I just watched England-Portugal which stayed 0-0 for the entire 90mins, then was still 0-0 after 30mins of extra time, meaning that it had to finish with penalties, and I can tell you I was on the edge of my seat all the way through.
As for your "theres not one well-known sports player among them".. maybe they arent well known to you, because you've never payed any attention to the game.. ever think of that? Different sports people are known in different circles.

The Football World Cup is the 3rd biggest sports event of the world, after the Olympic Games and the Paralymipcs. So the fact that you didn't know this World Cup shows that you are not the most intelligent christian in the US.
But luckily I heard that more and more Americans are interested in football, that the MLS gets more and more people.
Obviously I'm not the most intelligent Christian in the US. If I was, I'd be President!
